Contraceptive Services

La anticoncepción impulsa la igualdad. Mantiene a las niñas en la escuela, permite a las mujeres planificar su futuro y protege su dignidad.

Fòs Feminista delivers contraceptive products, services, and counseling so women and young people can make their own choices with dignity and autonomy.

Our strategy is to make contraception available, trusted, and stigma-free—advancing health and gender equality everywhere we work.

  • Choice matters.
We supply condoms, pills, injectables, implants, and IUDs so people can choose what fits their lives.
  • Girls’ education shouldn’t end with pregnancy
Too many girls lose their education to unintended pregnancy. We provide the sex ed and care they need to stay in school and take charge of their lives.
  • Reproductive healthcare access can’t wait
Long trips for basic health care put lives at risk. Your support brings contraception and counseling straight to communities—through mobile clinics, digital tools, and trusted peer promoters.
  • The morning after pill can be a lifeline for survivors of violence
Emergency contraception, like the morning-after pill, gives survivors a critical option to prevent pregnancy. Your support ensures women and girls have access—even in places where abortion is harshly restricted—so they can reclaim control over their lives.
  • Her body, her choice
Your support puts contraceptive care directly in women’s hands. With trusted information and reliable products, women take control of their bodies and futures.
  • Raising the bar for reproductive care
From clinics to communities, we strengthen contraceptive care by training providers to follow proven guidelines and protect every patient’s dignity.

Power to Decide

With your support, millions of women and girls accessed contraception and counseling in 2023–2024, gaining the power to shape their bodies, health, and futures.

Integrated Care in Clinics and Communities

With a network of health clinics across the country, along with other initiatives to reach women and girls in their communities, Fòs Feminista partner KMET provided more than 160,000 contraceptive services last year. These were integrated with care for safe and legal abortion, sexual and gender-based violence, HIV/AIDS, and other needs.

Emergency Contraception Now Within Reach

After Honduras ended its 14-year ban in 2023, our partner ASHONPLAFA launched a grassroots effort to spread the word about emergency contraception. They countered myths, shared trusted information, and distributed pills so women and girls could finally access this vital option.

From Global Pledge to Local Impact

In 2021, at the Generation Equality Forum, Fòs Feminista made a promise to expand contraceptive access worldwide. As co-leader of the Action Coalition on Bodily Autonomy and Sexual and Reproductive Rights, we committed to:

  • Develop guidelines for sexual and reproductive health service provision from an intersectional feminist lens
  • Provide more than 5.7M couple years of protection (CYP) from 2022-2025, contributing to expanded contraceptive coverage in 25 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia and Pacific.

Fòs Feminista’s progress, shared in the 2023 and 2024 Forum reports, shows those promises are becoming reality.
