Senegalese collective KIMPAVITA, in collaboration with Women on Web, Women First Digital, Fos Feminista, and Hesperian Health Guides, with partnership from the ODAS Center, Feminist, Mulheres Ao Vento, and For Freedoms announce the upcoming event Local Voices, Global Actions: For access to quality sexual and reproductive health information and services in FWACA set to take place on June 8th, 2024, in Maison de la Culture Douta Seck, Avenue Blaise Diagne x, Rue 25, Dakar, Senegal. Local Voices, Global Actions will bring together artists, activists and health professionals from around the world for a day of sensitization, discussions and activation around sexual and reproductive health topics.

This event is organized as part of Senegal Actions Feministes’  “Xool KO ci sa Boop” campaign – And if it was you?” which aims to promote access to quality reproductive health information and services, combat the stigma and discrimination associated with clandestine abortion, and empower women and girls in matters of sexual and reproductive health. We are celebrating with an exciting array of activities including music, films, and self-care sessions such as facials and incredible workshops and performances lined up, including the dance workshop by Casa da Mulher ao Vento.

KIMPAVITA and its partner organizations invite reproductive health advocates to Dakar for a week of action showcasing local voices and talent, while raising awareness of the risks of clandestine abortion, and combating the stigma and discrimination associated with it. Come celebrate our partners, exchange and dialogue both locally and internationally.
