A dedicated advocate for sexual and reproductive rights, Max has been a member of Fòs Feminista’s Board of Directors since 2020. He serves as Board Treasurer and co-chairs the Finance & Investment Committee.

Max has been a Board Member for Fòs Feminista’s partner PROFAMIL/Haiti for over five years and he currently serves as Board President. In this role, Max led the organization’s five-year strategic planning process, ensuring that it reflects the voices of all its stakeholders, particularly youth. Through his interactions with clinic staff and patients, Max has seen how issues relating to access or delivery of health services should be better addressed. These experiences have helped him better understand the existing inequalities in marginalized communities and how the gap can be closed, so they receive proper quality health care.

Max believes that Haiti needs the participation of all its citizens as well as those in the diaspora to improve the lives of all in Haiti. He is actively involved in engaging with donors on behalf of PROFAMIL, recently securing materials from the UN Mission in Haiti; during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, he also secured support from the country’s largest cellular communications company. Since 2006, he has supported a school in Petavie, Jacmel and initiated other youth-related interventions in Cite Soleil.

Max is an entrepreneur who established a construction and equipment rental company, JUNOT SA, in Haiti in 2010. Prior to founding his company, Max had a long and successful career in the banking industry.
